No wonder there's a shortage of phone numbers, all these debt collection agencies have bought up blocks and blocks of numbers to make it appear they're calling from your local area in hopes you answer since most people will not pick up for an unknown long distance number.
So now they've gone local ... or at least trying to make it look like they're local. Guess I won't be answering any more unknown local calls either.
