Recv'd phone call on my cell phone of all things. I never hand out my cell phone, the darn thing costs too much to operate. Became angry that some idiot would enter my cell phone number to an automated long distance dialer to expunge my minutes so I hung up.
Tried calling the number listed on my cell phone using a land line and no one answers. You get a recording that you probably misdialed, so hang up and try again. Not sure what I will do if it calls back.
Hey! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who got this call telling us that we all have this so-called hearing for disability. I've been down with depression, so I was one of their 'suckers' and gave them my info. After the fact, I got scared. I hope they aren't ID thieves. I've documented what happened so if/when it happens, I'll know who and how it happened.
I know it's a scam.
This seems to be a legit number. I just got call to remind me of my phone interview with Social Security on Monday Jan 14th. I have an appointment then. Did not ask for SS number or anything else.
Just rec'd this call. I ignore it on Caller ID and it went to Voice Mail. I listened to the VM and it was the same automated message as described above. I have no hearing with anybody scheduled. Perhaps they dialed my home telephone number by accident?
