Calls several times a week and just asks for George, then hangs up. The caller ID shows "Charity" as the name along with the number. Very annoying. I am 94 years old and it is very hard for me to get to the telephone!
I have them blocked, so the phone rings only once before they are cut off, but they are calling very early in the morning. They're not allowed to do that. (HA! As if they cared, and as if there's a penalty for that.)
(L Martin, Try a phone blocker. They come in all price ranges and are easy to set up and use.Or check to see if the phone you have has a blocking feature in it. Some of them, especially Panasonic, do. And don't answer these calls...don't answer calls from people or numbers you don't recognize. If you have an answering machine or voice male, legitimate callers will leave messages.
Taking those measures won't stop the calls, but may help not increase them as fast. Sorry for this awful intrusion in your life.)
If you ever gave to an organization, they call you forever and ever. I have these blocked, I never answer them anyway. We give to the firefighters on our taxes, which are high, and they are NOT getting a penny from me...I can't afford to eat let alone give to them. If I had any money it would go to the wounded warrirors and I don't so that is not a worry.
