I have a brother incarcerated. The last time I knew from him he was going to see the judge June 19. I have not heard anything else from him since. I now know he is still incarcerated because of previous posts from people receiving this call. My brother has said in the past, he can't call me because I have a 914 area code from prison. I was just wondering why I haven't heard from my brother and I get this call.
This is what the voicemail said: In order to receive collect calls from this person, you must either establish an account or add funds to your existing account. Please press 4 now or call 1800 913-6097 to speak with a customer service representative for new accounts. You may press 5 now to receive a 60 second complimentary call. Your call is not accepted. I remember answering and pressing 5 and spoke to my brother for 60 seconds, so this is a legit call if you know someone incarcerated. I feel bad I let the call go to voicemail because I didn't recognize the number.
