I have only had one call from this number but my phone has been bombarded today with another seller. I will in NO WAY, NO HOW answer ANY call that comes in without a name I recognize. They get a second chance when my answering machine comes on and asks them to leave a message. If I get no message then so long, farewell, that number will ONLY get my answering machine from here on out. My friends and family have my cell number and if they need me they call that. I rarely even go to look at the home phone to see who it is. I'll look later and if I know them I will return the call. I keep this home phone number for just that reason. I do not give out my cell number so I use my home phone when someone asks for a number where I can be reached.
got a call from 972-521-9240 at 8pm friday night which was a recording. i waited for options and pressed "1" which proceeded to a live heavy accent man. i asked to speak to his supervisor right away. he asked why. i told him calling my cell phone was a federal violation under the TCPA because my cell phone is for lol "emergency purposes only" asked him how he got my info, what his company name is, what state he was calling from, arizona he said. if he had a business license in the state. i asked for his company's mailing address. when he asked what for i told him because i will be sending him a bill for 1000$ for the federal violation. i said its actually a 1500$ fine for calling my cell phone but 1000 seems fair. your supervisor can contact me w a counteroffer but until then i need your mailing address or monday morning i will file in my local federal court and ask for a writ, an order to discover who the hell you are and why your calling my phone. the judge will grant me the jusgement because it was a frivilous call. hung up on me. so i called back 10 times!!!!!!!!!! i was pissed and each time got some foreigner i couldnt inderstand who acted stupid each time i asked for their supervisor. you ppl need to learn how to protect yourselves or how to take action against these ppl. this kid in from cali i been recorded his convo like this and posted it online thats where i started to look into how to deal w these turds. google "wliyd" what lies in your debt and listen to the free talkshoe webinars online about creditors and credit report agencies. and how to take action. might make you a few etra $$
