Called twice with a woman saying same as above about treasury, magistrate etc. Do people really fall for this? First clue, never mention who they are calling. Second clue, IRS sends notifications by mail. IRS is difficult to get a phone call from...even if you want them to. IRS doesn't as far as I am aware give veiled threats on an answering machine. They like to talk to you in person first. May call back just to screw with them..lol
I got the same message - totally BOGUS! Will not call back. I really wish that the phone companies or Congress could do something about these scammers! BTW - This a scam call, not a PRANK call!
Recording of a guy with a Russian accent -- sounded exactly like Chekov from Star Trek -- calling to "ad-wise" me that I should cooperate and "help us to help you" in regards to appearing before a federal magistrate or grand jury, blah blah blah... I feel like calling him back to whisper sweet nothings in his ear. Definitely a scam.
Exactly the same as others already listed. Called once on Feb. 11 and once on Feb. 12, left messages both times. Live in California. I hope nobody falls for this scammer, and hope he drops dead FAST.
