Caller tried to convince me that I had won a vacation package, cruise with airfare, but could not tell me when or where I had entered this contest. I'm not in the habit of entering contests.
When I asked why a company would give away such a great package and not expect anything in return, he said all they wanted was word-of-mouth advertising. When I asked which company, he told me a variety of cruise lines (rather than his own travel company), but it seemed like he was winging it and making it up. I agreed to speak to the manager to get more information and possibly schedule a visit to hear more about the award/contest/package.
When the manager called me back, it was from the same number, though I could now hear a call center in the background (seemed to  me it should have been the other way around, call center with first guy and not with manager, so doubted whether he was a manager). He did not ever ask for a credit card number, but did ask for basic household info such as age range and annual income range. I asked why he needed to know and he said it was because the packages go to the demographic that travels. I said he should already have my demographic information if he had a contest entry slip. He made an excuse about their database system. I did not sign up to "hear more" and pick up my trip. It sounded like it was going to be a hard-sales nightmare if you scheduled an appointment. Not sure what they were selling because I could hardly understand what they were saying (both were Indian accents). If this is a viable company and not a scam--they are going about this the wrong way!

June 15th, same story as above.  They told me I had filled out an entry form in a restaurant in December.  I couldn't understand the first guy at all....got a call from the "manager"  haha   and understood him a bit better.  I have same questions as person above.  Somebody who doesn't speak my language, from Texas calls me in Arizona, to give me a 3 day 2 night vacation with no strings attached.   HUH?  In this crazy world and losing our country, only one thing is still the god awful without exception rule:  "nothing for nothing".   In the 1950s there was a TV show called "The Millionaire" or something like that.  A guy names John Berdsford Tipton, or something like that, had an admin assistant who would give away a million dollars to average folk.  Well, was a good story, and if it was true, by now, John Berdsford Tipton is either dead or out of money.
