Getting calls once a week in the evening, never leave a message. Called the number this morning and a woman answered saying "Kids' Wish". I told her I've been getting calls regularly from this number. She asked me if I was Anita Fonapita, I told her I was not, so then she pitched "Are you the lady of the house?" Then she went into a long shpeel about the sick kids and to excuse her bluntness, but these poor children were going to die and her heart just breaks for them. Could I just donate $175 for these poor sick children that were going to die? I told her no, could she please take me off the calling list. She then pitched me for $25, $35, $45? Again, I said no, please take me off your list. Then she asked if they could call me again for another charitable donation in the future! I kept my "lady" of the house composure and said no again, please take me off the list. Then she said she needed to get a pen to write down my phone number to take me off the list because my phone number was not available to her (then why did she initially ask me if I was Anita Fonapita?). We'll see if I stop getting the calls....
The Children's Wish Network which is a valid organization- called me and hung up - returned call and waited a good 10min listening to really poor music and when they id themselves I asked to be removed. Called again the next morning. so much for asking
I called them right back, waited on hold, and asked to be removed from the contact list, she very nicely agreed, confirmed my phone number, and that was it. SO annoying. Our number is unlisted, but I do give to a fw different charities, so maybe that's how they got this number? I'll report back if they call again!
Called this # back since it has called me at least 4 times in last 24 hours...said he they were with the Children's Wish Network and his name was William...asked if he could help me and I told him to stop calling
