These sneaky little people get your email through an innocent Home Depot survey...you know when they walk around the store in a Home Depot uniform, asking you to take a 3 question survey...Never mention their company is Rainsoft and they will pester you daily thereafter.

I answered thinking it was a call I was waiting for. A Woman asked for Mr. Luis Sanchez. I told her she had the wrong number. She then said did I call and repeated my number. And I said yes but you have the wrong number. She said I am sorry Ma'am and hung up. I figured she was selling something.
They get your number by sending out "free $20.00 Amazon gift card just for filling out this survey! And returning it within 48 hours!"
That's a lie! Now they want you to listen to a sales pitch for an hour or two. I told them I better get my gift card ASAP! or I was calling the city of Dallas and the Better Business Bureau for deceptive practices. She needed my address In case she could send one after speaking to her supervisor. I told her I could give her the police department address and I would pick it up there, otherwise, I said "No, I' m not giving out anymore personal information! When he calls to say he is sending the Amazon gift card I will give him the address." The young lady then gsaid her supervisor was out because his wife had a baby.
About 20 minutes passed and Laura called back from Rainsoft and said she was sending out my gift card. That, my friends, is how you beat a scammer! Good Luck out there!
