Yes. They called my cell phone with some garbage about my credit card interest rate could be greatly lowered. Which I thought was funny because I dont even have a credit card. I hung up and tried to call the number back and of coarse there was no answer.
The card service scammers WILL 'service' our credit cards, BUT, when they finish 'servicing' them, they will have NO available credit remaining! People that are fooled into having their cards 'serviced' will be charged a MINIMUM of $795.00, and many times the ENTIRE amount remaining on the card. The card service scammers are a disgusting group of degenerates, who prey mainly on the low income, and the elderly, but will cheat anyone that they can!
After the recorded message I pressed 1 and got to talk to a woman with a strong Indian accent. Only an idiot would entrust her with credit card information. The caller ID phone number is most likely spoofed. I am *very* disappointed at AT&T for allowing these kinds of calls to go through their network. You would imagine that they could easily track where such calls originate and what caller ID is being transmitted, and instantly block the call when the two don't match. Moreover, after years and years of scams gone wild, you would expect them to have a scam reporting service to help them fight credit/identity theft through their network. By sitting on their hands and doing nothing they make themselves an accessory to wire fraud. Where are those big lawyers and their class action lawsuits?? There is big money to be made, people!
