I got 3 calls this morning saying that my drivers for MS are not loading. Heavy Indian accent too and said he was with MS and that and I will loose all MS on my computer if I do not give him access to my computer to fix it. I told him to send me something in writing and that I was calling MS and I hung up. SCAM! Do not give him your information!
Got a call this morning from this number with the tag line "Smart Techline"! When I picked up no one answered. I have been getting phone calls from scammers using tag lines that seem to portray themselves as technical people.
Called said he was from Microsoft and needed to tell me something. Heavy Indian Accent. I tore him a new one and hung up on him, he then called 3 more times.. Don't let them fool you~!!
These guys have been calling repeatedly saying that they are with Microsoft Security and they are a SCAM!!! Don't believe the CLSID verification step and don't believe that they are calling from Los Angeles as the area code is for Dallas, Texas.
This number has called before and a friend of mine fell for it. I fixed the problem for her and got her credit card stopped. Now they are calling again. I told the guy to take us off his list and not to call again. He then called 3 more times in 10 minutes. I exploded on him. I will be reporting this and I will also locate where they are at as I am a professional skip tracer. Hang up on them and report them.
