Wells Fargo Dealership looking for someone named Jose...told them not to call back again because I am the new owner of the number but they call every day. Irritated...seriously
Recently Wells Fargo started using Wells Fargo Dealer Services (same co. another umbrella) as their co. that collects auto loans that are running late. I know because I recently was there myself. I am a (former) compliance officer at a bank so I have this stuff down. The name change is for Wells tax or profit picture, so do not worry about that. It does not mean you have gone into a worse category or any of that stuff. Second, the person on our account kept calling my wife at work. Under C.F.R. Regulation B they cannot do that even if you just verbally tell them you cannot be called at work. They cannot call you at all if you send the notification by mail (any type of mail for which you get a delivery receipt, not necessarily certified or registered that cost more). If you do cease all communication though you will not know what is happening at all. It's better to just let the phone ring, at least you can get some hints about things that way, and they don't freak out and come get the car or whatever sooner. Just FYI, been there done that.
