Claimed to be working for a compnay mindset in Texas and wanted was fishing for my email address. He wanted to send an email package with documentation.
Had multiple calls come in at the same time (clearly a call center) and each person was asking for a different employee. One person mentioned it was in regards to data storage. Another caller was reluctant to give me any information and that it was "a very important call with very important information". One of the calls mentioned that it was a webinar that the employee is already attending and asked me to confirm that information and wanted to speak with the employee. Every single one of the callers said they were calling on behalf of RedHat. If this truly is RedHat they need to stop having telemarketers calling in this manner. It's unprofessional and it's clearly a ploy to gain employee information. I don't recommend answering these calls.
Claimed to be calling "from Redmond on behalf of Microsoft." Wanted to speak to our IT Director and talked about sending us an "email package." Very shady.
