I called the number back, (message was left that it was imparative for me to call them back). The man that answered the return call spoke with a non American accent (Indian inflection). Had to ask him what company he represented, "US Internal Revenue" was his response he then asked for my name. I told him if he was from the IRS he should know who he is calling, he then disconnected the call.
I got 1 of those imperative calls from the IRS. I called them back. Lots of fun if you have 5-10 minutes to kill. Doesn't take very long to have them calling you every obnoxious name you can think of, along with varied suggestions on what to do with parts of your anatomy.
Got the same type of call,,, automated message saying it was IRS, that I should call back immediately, that a warrant has been issued for my address?? Called them, got an Indian speaking lady asking for my name, I hung up. I knew right away it was a scam.
Just received call from this number. I didnt answer after reading irs scam comments. I have received this kind of call before, same accent, same scam, probably same person
