I have been receiving calls from this number. He claims he is Federal attorney by the name of Kevin Peterson. He has a strong East Indian accent. He stated that he had a case against me involving my social security number. He stated that I owed $962 but when I asked who was claiming this I could not understand what he said.He then said he was going to send me pay slip to me e-mail address and I could make a payment at a 7-11 store. When I said was going to do that, that I needed information in writing he said that this was a serious matter and a time sensitive matter. He then told me I would be arrested. I became nervous and could not sleep or eat that night, Friday 4/19. He left a message over the weekend. he called again today, 4/22 advising that this was the last call, that he had called repeatedly and that either me or my attorney should call him. When I called there was no answer and the message when I called was not clear as to who or what office I was calling. I called him back pretending to be a paralegal from attorney's office gathering information on the case. He said he could not provide me with information as to the amount or the creditor because he had turned the case over to the attorney general. He said he would have the attorney general's office call me. Nothing has happened since. I will admit I was and am still shaken by his threats to have me arrested.
I got a call from person leaving a voice mail telling me he have try to get in touch with me but no more he said the police will be at my house in the next 45 minute it's a scam trying to get money you donot pay money without getting paperwork that what my lawyer say those people stay on the Internet scam when you get on there so they can try to get some money from you
I just received a message from this phone number saying he was from the IRS and I had a tax refund due to me in the amount $2,100.00. I have also gotten the phone call where my social security came up and this was my last chance to pay or the police would come to my house--his final words were "I wish you luck as this unfolds around you". I was able to answer one of these calls and told them that I had already turned the number over to the attorney general and they quickly hung up. All of this is a real scam, be careful and do not give them any information.
