Please aid in stopping this company from calling us every 5 minutes. . .most annoying.
When we pick u to tell them to stop calling, it just beeps, nobody on the other end!
Try 1 978-250-1800 (Biscom). "Operator" said she would take our (residence) number off their robo-call list. Many years ago our number was the fax number for a nearby library - and was still on a state list of fax numbers when we got the number.
This company (Bi-SCAM = 2se the SCAM!) called me twice within 30 minutes using two different numbers. What is really annoying is that I am working from home today and every time Bi-Scam calls, it seems to disrupt my VPN connection, and my work tools go blank and have to reconnect.
I now have both numbers blocked, and if they call from any other numbers, I can easily block those as well, as I have 250 number blocking.
Unfortunately the "Do-Not-Call" registry and related legislation have no teeth at all. It's past time for laws to be put in effect and enforced preventing ALL (including charity and political) unsolicited business calls. My home phone is not a shopping mall for every tom-dick-and-harry sales, scammer, charity or politician to access whenever they want. The Do-Not-Call registry should allow one to select what kind of calls to allow or disallow. i.e. if someone wants to allow charities and politicians, that's fine. But we should be able to stop those calls as well if we don't want them. And it makes a lot of sense, as it is not likely that I will every contribute to a charity or political campaign for someone harassing me on my phone.
There needs to be serious fines for any violation and jail time for repeated violations. That is the only way this crap could be prevented.
