If it was legitimate, they would not call you first. You, unfortunately, are having your personal information sold and resold on the deep web. I hate to say it, but you will most likely be haunted with variations on a scam theme for years to come. REMEMBER, if you're to be taken to court, no one can threaten you with arrest or to send the police to your place of work etc. Any legitimate suit will be served by an official representative of the court. I have been getting the same calls for 6 years and occasionally I will answer and tell them to please send the police or the process server. That I will be waiting for them. Guess what? Never once was I served to appear in court nor was I arrested. Sorry, but you are now in the least popular club.
I have received these calls for 6 months now I made the mistake of calling back would not verify any info on me! He said papers would be filed Thursday and it would be much worse in court! Is this for real?
It's a scam....This guy Edward Mason from Cambridge Investment Group (CIG), Woburn, MA (nowhere to be found & no legit website) has threatened me with legal actions on the credit card debt that I have no idea of. People like him should be punished big time. Usually calls from : 888-627-0946 or 978-484-6068 or (888) 764-8596 or 888-754-5014 or 978-478-4162. Don't pay him a penny, keep record of everything and report it to FTC and your state attorney general office.
