My caller ID stated: Andover MA 4:12 PM 5/29/17. I picked up but didn't say anything. Heard a typical boiler room with Indian dialects in the background. They are churning out phone numbers to find a sucker who will answer their phone to try and scam them out of money. Scammers looking to gain your credit card information. Make our President shut these disgusting companies down. He wants to create new jobs. He can hire federal agents to hunt them down, put them in jail and then torture them with ringing phones and fast busy signals for the rest of their paltry lives.
These idiots are mostly ringing on my Google Voice or VoIP numbers. None of those numbers accept any kind of charges for goods or services. On top of that, there is no correlation between the numbers they are calling on and a physical address or person...so they have no means of mailing or delivering anything. So, if I have a few minutes to mess with them, I will "press 1 to speak with a representative" or say "Yes" if they ask if I can hear them. :D
Warning: DO NOT do this if they are calling on your landline, cell, or business number...or any number you have a public connection with. On those numbers, hang up immediately. Provide no information, or confirm anything they may recite to you. Best yet, if you have caller id, DO NOT pick up a call if you don't recognize the number. Even if it is from an area code you do have friends or business in. If it is a legit call, they will leave a message for you.
