called twice today. Picked up the second time and no one there. Suspect the usual suspects.

This number called my DNC listed landline today at 1147 hours.  As 99% of the calls I receive are scam artists, I picked up the phone but said nothing.  (This usually prevents idiot, illegal robo-messages from starting.)  The call quickly disconnected, much faster than usual, in fact.  I suspect this is a newly spoofed number from one of the usual scam artists because there's nothing solid in complaints.... yet.

Called today. No message. Who are these people?

Same as all previous comments, received a call from this number and was curious.   Called the number and got the following recorded voice message "The number you dialed is not a working #."

The issue is the providers who allow scam artists to spoof numbers. The providers rake in money when the calls connect or a voice mail is left.
