They called.  It was a recording.  They said it was EmblemHealth (Insurance).  I hung up on them and blocked them.  I don't have EmblemHealth.  I don't accept Robocalls, no matter who it is from.  If a company I do business makes an unsolicited phone call, I ask them to send me a letter.  If a company I don't do business with calls me, I hang up on them.  I don't do business with strangers who call me on the phone.

of course I hang up and trust this is somesort of telemarketer may be when you call back your phone bill will be charged a high amount of dollars. hope someone can find out who they are. thanks...

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM 978-783-1189 TREE TIMES. HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY DOES NOT CALL TO THEIR CLIENTS, ONLY LETTERS. IT MUST BE  INVESTIGATED AND PROSECUTED.

They called me last month and this afternoon.  Left a recorded message both times about me calling them (GHI Emblem Health) to update my information.  Sounds suspicious. Last year, I did call my health insurance co about a statement and while I was "on hold" a recording came on saying I won a trip to Las Vegas.  Some guy got on the line and said I needed to provide my credit card number in order to hold the "free" room.  I said, "I don't want it" and he hung up right away.

I guess we need to be wary of Health Insurance scams now.

I called my health insurance company to check on these messages and the customer service rep said they are representing their company.  They pretty much call to direct people to their website and to receive emails.  I said the area code is based in MA not NY where the insurance company is located.  But she said they do work for them.
