So I got a call from mr.richard Wiley from Ami investigation in the beginning of July saying I have a loan to pay off for $350 that I took a loan from djr group in 2011.whice I thought paid off back in 2012 and I have a case#.. So on the second week I gave them a payment of $100 and now today 8/1/14 at 9:30 he calls me for another payment and if I don't pay it by 12pm he was going to suspend my case and send it to Florida.. I google searched Ami investigation there in California and Richard Wiley with Ami investigation and the number he calls me from is in Texas.. Its so weird and now I know his a scam artist. So I changed my debit card so they won't pull any more money out. I'm so upset with these [***] people they will all burn in hell!!!
I got a call on 4/10. Said his name was investigator, Richard Wiley with AMI Investigations, said there was a pending legal claim in his office and left a claim #. I called the number back from another phone and it said to leave a message and someone with return my call within 24 to 48 hours.

I called the number back the next day from a unlisted number and it said I have reached AMI Investigations Division, please leave my name and claim number and someone will give me a call within 24 - 48 hours.
You just validated your number was "real" to a probable scammer. who may or may not have used the real name of "AMI Investigations" to impress you.
You will probably get several more calls, from that (and other) eager scammers.
Lesson:
If there is a REAL "investigation" from a REAL legal entity, you would get a REAL letter, rather than a phone call!
Oh ... by the way ... the REAL AMI Investigations is in California, and your call came from Texas. Does that mean anything to you?
I also received a similar message from Investigator Richard Wiley yesterday on my phone - two things threw me off instantly, the first being that the call was for Mr. ______, and I am a Ms. The second being I had no idea who the man was apparently making a legal claim against me. l almost called this number to complain, but googled first and saw this - thanks you may have saved me some future confrontation!
