I just received this same call today. I blocked this caller number.
I know the IRS does make personal calls but never automated calls like this one and the IRS will always mail you why they are contacting you so that you have it in writing for legal reasons.
My husband just got a call from them and answered unknowingly. Complete scam, they refuse to give out any information on what it's regarding because they don't have any! Tried to use scare tactics and say legal action will be taken if you hang up. Don't give them anything. Blocked the number as soon as he hung up and reported them. Unbelievable!
