Caller ID on my landline was (979) 265-4885. Woman confirmed my name and I said that's me - how can I help you. She said she was calling about my Internet Explorer. I said what about it? She asked if I run it on my computer. I asked her what she was selling. She laughed and said she wasn't selling anything. I told her she needs to get to the point b/c I'm watching a movie. She asked if I lived in a town that I don't live in but it's close to where I live. I said no. She said, "You don't live in ______? I said no I've never lived there. She hung up. The call was really fast and she had a very heavy accent.

She or one of her co-scammers will probably call back. They are selling a fake malware removal service.
The way it works, they talk you into giving them remote access to your computer. They run a "scan" and find tons of malware. They then charge you $$$ to remove it. But it wasn't there to start with. In scanning your computer they installed that and more. And when they clean it out they'll leave stuff that lets them use your computer to distribute spam. Or maybe they'll just harvest all of your passwords and empty your bank account.
Next time they call tell them you don't have a computer.
