The same outfit used to call from Austin asking for donations. They had an office in San Antonio Texas, but I read where it was closed down. I also read where a very low percentage of the cash they receive went to the folks they claim to support. I don't answer them anymore, nor would I ever make a donation.
Thanks for the info of .22 out of every dollar is all that goes to the Order. I have been called previously and he caller ID had Fraternal Order of Police, but this time it only had Bryan Tx. I did not answer this time and the caller hung up. Seems like if it were a true charity the caller would say who it was and what they would like for you to contribute to.
