New number for these folks, but same old scam. Threatening dire consequences if you don't call them back. You or your lawyer. Caller has Pakistani accent and says that I am in serious trouble and he is a member of a law enforcement agency. Had them before, reported them to FBI and other agencies. Guess they found a new link...this one comes from Texas.

Got 5 calls in 20 minutes from some [***] with a Hindi accent stating that he was from a attorneys office and there were "very dire consequences" if I did not respond. They were calling about a supposed payday loan which had been taken out online in an (incorrect) name, not matching mine. Despite stating numerous times that I was not the person they were looking for, they kept calling. Demanded phone number to call their supervisor regarding this issue and advising that I will not speak to anybody who calls my home number regarding this issue, ever again. Obtained this number and searched online for scams from this number, and hey, guess what?
