I have never asked for any information of any kind about obamacare, but I got the call anyway from this number. Most likely it is the same as the other scam calls about lowering credit card interest, vehicle warranties, vacations, etc. In other words, it is just an autodialer that calls every number without knowing or caring who has the number. It is just a way to get personal information (social security numbers, bank account info, birthdays, employers or any other information) that can be used to impersonate you and steal your money or use your name to steal someone else's money so you can get in trouble instead of them. If you are in a position where you do not have to answer phones when an unknown number calls, then don't bother to answer at all if you don't know the number. If you do have to answer calls from unknown numbers - like I have to sometimes - then just always assume anyone who calls you and asks you for information they don't have already is a scam and either hang up on them immediately or have some fun by pretending to be senile, on drugs, psychopathic, etc. But NEVER EVER give any real information of any kind to someone you do not know who calls you on the phone and asks for it, no matter how legitimate they may sound or how many threats or kind words they might give you. And if they do give any kind of threats of any kind, they are breaking the law so report it immediately to the police, FBI, etc.
