Wow another Irs scan recording. I accidentally erased the message from my phone because I was going to upload it just for fun. Very bad recording. Very techno male voice. The recording cuts in and out. Sounds very computerized and totally a computer scammer to me. Shared with my friends my screen shot, oh yes take screen shots with your cellphone. Don't answer be careful. That's my opinion. If I don’t recognize the area codes or numbers they can leave messages. Then I know. Seriously another Irs scan saying I owe money.
Just received the same message everyone else is receiving. I called the number back just to see who would answer. A woman actually answers and said, "Dept of Treasury, how may I help you?" So I hung up. I don't see how this can not be stopped by the federal government when they actually answer the phone and have a geographic location in TX.
yet another "We're the IRS and if you don't pay $(several thousand dollars) immediately you will be arrested within 45 minutes" scam.. ignore as the IRS does not do business like this over the phone. If you really owed money, the IRS would contact you via US Mail.
