Prerecorded message saying I won a free dinner for two in Bryan/College Station area. I hung up half way through. Machine said Bryan but caller ID show Freeport. Scam!
I took a mailer I had received for donation to the sheriff's assn. by the local Sheriff's office and they told me that even though it stated it was from our current Sheriff, it was a scam! The sheriff's department will never see a dime of it. Just goes in some crooks pocket. I'm beginning to wonder if there's anything sacred anymore that hasn't been raped and pillaged by the scammers and shoved down our throats by telephone, mail and now our computers and cellphones while reaching for our money. I hope they choke on it.
