"Troopers' association. Paid solicitation--i.e., they take 90+% of the $ and maybe give a bit to the police. SCAM! They just use the fundraising for the troopers as a way of avoiding being pursued for calling people on the "Do Not Call" registry.
I received a call from this number, no message. I don't answer the phone unless I recognize number. My message on answering machine is " This number is on the do not call list,no solicitors, leave a message and it will be processed." It has helped cut down on calls.
I also received a call and it was blocked immediately. Like many others, I do not answer any calls I do not recognize and will continue to file complaints based on the information that is so graciously provided by those who do answer. Any true and legal company, whether it is charitable, political, regular business will display their correct name. Anything else is pure scam and should not even be acknowledged.
