Was the Police /Sherriffs association, looking for donations, very pushy.. had to tell him I am living from Disability and cant afford to give anything right now and its Thanks giving, bad time for my family right now, then he finally gave up.. Good cause, just that I cant afford it..

This was a fake charity scam. That money goes right into some crooks pocket. Local police, state police and sheriffs do not use these calls to raise funds. The caller being pushy is a big tip too. One way to get rid of the calls is tell the caller you want to look up the Charity on-line and see how much of the money collected goes to the police/sheriffs. That usually gets a you some bad language and a quick hang up. You can also call your local LE and they will tell you all about these crooks.
