Apparently some kind of debt collector. Called last Monday afternoon. Female with poor enunciation skills asked for someone with a similar name to mine. Told her no such person at this number, she said she would remove my name from their database. Out of curiosity, the next day, I called to see what company it was. Rude, cop-attitude man answered with "Is this (My Name)?" I asked him what company I had called. This went back and forth 3-4 times, then he hung up on me.

This number called my patient and asked them all kinds of personal medical questions claiming that we (his doctor) had provided an order for their product. He believed them and approved them to contact us for authorization (of all kinds of things like headache medication with narcotic ingredient as well as a "specialized multi-vitamin"). This is a young man under 40 with no complaints other than lower back sprain and chronic knee pain. We received an authorization for FOUR medications from this company with NOTHING on the paper to validate their business except a fax number that won't trace to a company and a phone number that also won't trace and there is no answer and no message (it just rings indefinitely until it finally states that call cannot be completed as dialed). No legitimate company would operate this way without identifying WHO they are and putting their name behind what they do. This is ILLEGAL! They are somehow able to access personal information by extremely illegal means if they were able to know our fax number at this office. Our information is not openly published outside local pharmacies and our patient's. They called MY patient with ALL his personal information and our contact information already. REPORT THIS if you hear from them.
Called me a asked all my information stated that my insurance company was trying to verify that the topical cream would be a product useful for me. I did not feel very comfortable with the call and declined any and all motions of moving forward. Immediately call my doctor’s office and asked if they heard of anything like this and they said no. I asked the have the state represented call me to discuss this matter and let me know if I have to take this to higher level for HIPPA will be notified that if my information was released that they will have a large lawsuit on their hands. If you take this call and get more information please post so if I have to go any further with this that anyone effected by this can also get resolution.
I have recieved multiple calls from this number and every time I hear a prerecorded voice say "we're sorry" and the line goes dead. I tried to call them back to tell them to take me off their call list but all I got was wait music and "the next available agent will be right with you".
