It's that time of the year. Caller ID indicated "Bush LA". I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer but they left a message. Caller identified himself as Steve Martin, a member of the Treasury Dept. Threatened to arrest me if I didn't call right back. His English was horrible. What a joke!
I needed a laugh today....so I return the call. After a few seconds of horrible music, a man with an obviously foreign accent (not quite sure what it is) answered and said "This is the US Treasury Department. I am officer Mike O'Connor in legal affairs. How can I help you?" I answered this way: "First of all, you're not with the Treasury Department. Second, I'm guessing you're not really Irish. And third, I'm calling and reporting your little enterprise to the Treasury Department." His response? "Ma'am, you don't need to talk to me this way." Just for fun, I might call again.
