The reason large companies often call using these numbers that are 'blocked' are often just simply company policies and are done for safety reasons to the employees. I have experienced this in my own line of work and there have been cases were some crazy customers have treatened individuals calling them. So in order to ensure the safety of their employees companies block their numbers. They are not 'pranking' or 'scamming' they just have to do it as a safety measure.
Honda hires outside surevy comapnies to take their customer satisfaction surveys. The people who call do not work for Honda, hence they call on behalf of the company. The comapnies have their own rules in which they operate, and they get paid to complete surveys. If they left a automated message people could think less of Honda. If they simply do not identify themeselves then the next time they call the customer may pick up and take the survey... If you want them to stop calling the best thing to do is to listen to what they have to say initially and then kindly say that you do not wish to participate... Its a win win for all parties involved. Plus thats the only way they will stop calling you. If you do not answer then I bet you they will keep calling. They are under contract to.
I've been receiving calls too w/o any messages left. Must be the Honda people because I just bought an Acura which is a subsidiary of Honda corporation. I guess it would be safe to answer the call now. Thanks people.

Its hard to answer the phone when we're busy. Thats the beauty of voicemail. When someone cares enough, or what they have to say is important enough, they leave a message.
Anyway, to the rest who were concerned about the blocked number, I too just bought a CRV and am relieved to find out that it was probably a survey. Good friends just moved to MI, Ann Arbor, last week and was worried about the coinsidence.

Thre are so many scams out there and ways for people to access your data on your phone by using certain phone numbers that you have to be careful. If I do not know the number I do not answer it until I find out who it belongs to. All it take is answering your phone to give them access to your information. Do YOU want your information and Identity stolen?
