I was called by Rochelle with a National Security Protection Service saying she could have installed a security system. The intro script indicates my number came from a referral source, including a neighbor (this was for homeowners and I live in an apartment complex). She said she didn't know the referral source as she didn't work in marketing. I stated I wanted to know who referred me prior to proceeding. She stated there were thousands of sources that came in and couldn't be tracked down. I hung up the phone after this statement. There were multiple voices in the background (likely a boilerplate operation) and it didn't respect my being on the National Do Not Call registry. I know who they are now and will not answer my phone for them in the future.
They recorded on my MagicJack, "... eligible for a free home security system monitored by fire, police" ... "If you want a home security system press 1 now". given that they don't say the name of the company I would guess it is a scam.
PS to Min: They probably dial 212-323-0001, 212-323-0002, 212-323-0003, 212-323-0004.
Scammers do not respect the Do Not Call list and the FBI deems chasing after whoever tricked Jennifer Lawrence into giving them her iPhone password as a larger priority.
Just got a call on my cell from these wonderful people, which is VERY illegal to do! NO way to call them back and do anything other than just push 1 to be removed. BEYOND annoying for businesses to blatantly break the laws like this!
they called my Skype phone number. How they got that I have no idea as I just got this number a month ago. Didn't leave any messages. After reading the comments here I won't be calling them back and I'll be blocking them on Skype once I figure out how to do it.
they just called me and I'm sure that's a scam and I don't think anybody can do anything about it, because is no one in the other side of the line, and it is B going that long and still keeping going obviously nobody can do nothing
