Today (April, 04 2014) at around 1:00 pm I received a telephone call at my home phone from a person (phone # 202-241-1299) impersonating as a representative of IRS officer with some IRS issues related to me. I told him that IRS sends letters first for any issues instead of calling on telephone and asked the caller if he was trying to scam me. He told me that I could hang up. I hanged up and then I called IRS on phone. I was informed by IRS that I have no issues with them. I then called the person at 202-241-1299 to check if that number is a valid number. I was connected with the person who threatened me that an arrest warrant has been issued against me because in my previous conversation I asked a police officer if he was trying to scam me. He threatened me that I would be deported to India (from my name he knew that I am originally from India), but I told him that I am an US citizen and cannot be deported to India. Then he tried to scare me with bad hindi words. I hung up the phone. Then he called me again and I told him not to call me and hung up again. He tried to call me again and again, but I did not answer.
I received the same phone call from 202-241-1909 and he said his name was Officer Anthony Clark. Meanwhile, he had the thickest Indian accent and I knew the name didn't match up. He basically said I owed $3000 to the IRS and that it has to be paid immediately or they'd put out a warrant for my arrest.. I swear people have nothing else better to do than harass and commit fraud to innocent people on a daily basis. To think they put that much effort into these scams maybe they should get a real job with all the time and effort they're wasting lol.
Received a call from(202) 24(202) 241-1299202) 241-1299-1299 from a person with a thick Spanish accent claiming he was from the IRS TAX FRAUD INVESTIGATION UNIT. They said I was under investigation for back taxes. I laughed and hung up. I called the number back using *67 and proceeded to tell these idiots I wanted to order pizza. They were perplexed telling me they are not a pizza shop. I told them I wanted a pepperoni pizza and please deliver it to the WHITE HOUSE. The guy was getting angry and kept telling me he was with the IRS. People could be heard in the back ground laughing at him.
I encourage all to call back *672022411299 and prank them back. These people are idiots.
I also received a call today from 202 241 1299. Indian guy with a thick accent told me that he was with the IRS fraud investigations unit and that there was a warrant for my arrest . He also asked for my criminal attorney's name. I knew it was bullsh*t but it was still unsettling. I know that the IRS always write and wouldn't be making such stupid calls to people's cell phones. I hung up and he called me back. This time I told him to fu*k his mother. Then I called them back and they cursed at me . Pretty funny.
