Today (April, 04 2014) at around 1:00 pm I received a telephone call at my home phone from a person (phone # 202-241-1299) impersonating as a representative of IRS officer with some IRS issues related to me. I told him that IRS sends letters first for any issues instead of calling on telephone and asked the caller if he was trying to scam me. He told me that I could hang up. I hanged up and then I called IRS on phone. I was informed by IRS that I have no issues with them. I then called the person at 202-241-1299 to check if that number is a valid number. I was connected with the person who threatened me that an arrest warrant has been issued against me because in my previous conversation I asked a police officer if he was trying to scam me. He threatened me that I would be deported to India (from my name he knew that I am originally from India), but I told him that I am an US citizen and cannot be deported to India. Then he tried to scare me with bad hindi words. I hung up the phone. Then he called me again and I told him not to call me and hung up again. He tried to call me again and again, but I did not answer.

Call me at 12:30pm. This person with a thick accent tried to collect $3800 . Told me that I needed to pay him for a case filed against me. That I owned IRS from 2008 to 2012, told me that I did not filed my tax on those years. He told me to pay him within 2hours or else police officers will come to my house and put me behind bars. Or I will get deported, pulled the house ( but wrong address he have) the cars and everything I have. Threaten me that they will hold or freezes my bank account. When I told him I will go to the IRS office to find out what's going on, he said that no need because he is from IRS already and it's from Washington . He put me on hold saying he will asked his supervisor. I hang up and went to the IRS office. I been told that IRS will first send a few letters if problem occur, if no response they will knock on your door and inform you directly and they do not call...this is a SCAM!
My husband got a call from this number today. He had a thick Indian accent and was telling him that he was going to be arrested because he wrote fraudulent checks to the IRS. He was asking my husband who was going to be the lawyer representing him. At this point I took the phone from my husband and asked who I was talking to, as I was the one who took care of finances in the house and my husband hasn't even written a check in 8 years. The man on the other end started getting nasty to me, so I of course got nasty back. He ended up saying "I am not your friend, I am not you're family, and you as a women should never talk to me that way. I am going to have the police come arrest you right now." I told him to send the police right over and I would be more than happy to talk with them but I wasn't listening to anymore of his BS. He then hung up on me, which I found hilarious. A total scam.
Just had a voicemail from this number. Very thick Indian accent saying he was from IRS and there was a warrant for my arrest due to back taxes.?if I had received this call I woukd have cursed him out. I've worked and filed taxes since u was 16...and I get a refund every year asshat!
