It's not claiming £60 million on behalf of its customers, it's ripping off the administrators of the compensation scheme, and fraudulently telling potential customers(victims?) that it has records of mis-sold PPI where there is none.
It's a cynical and dishonest ploy, which to my mind at least is very definitely a scam!
You have displayed a complete lack of knowledge of the process, purporting your opinion as facts.
These 'administrators' and the banks have sold millions of policies to people who would not be eligible to claim - ie self employed, temporary workers, those eligible to sick/redundancy.
These policies have been a way for the banks to make more money from you. This is why a judicial review reviewed that many of these policies were unfair.
How is returning the money a scam? Do you work for a big bank by chance?
Got a call from the Claims Guys! Was in two minds whether to answer it. The guy just confirmed my first names and hung up...definitely something not right about that...if that was a sale try harder next time what a muppet!

Today the 24/1/12 evening time was having my dinner and got a call to my mobile thought it was my girlfriend and answered it without checking the number...it was someone from the Claims Guys...if I get a call from these guys again who knew my first name next I asked whats was the purpose of his call he drops the call...I suspect it some kind of scam...perhaps call him back and steal some of my credit off my phone...who knows...but it definitely was not PPI John you Muppet...if you have anything to do with it...stop annoying people...and let me have my dinner...I work all day the last thing I want is calls like that got it!
