I don't normally answer a call from a number I don't recognize but I was waiting for a phone call. I first do a who called me search because I never had issues until I registered my phone number with the do not call list and it's been a free for all ever since. I answered and someone just talking away in another language. I said you have the wrong number a few times, but they kept on and on so I just hung up. I just keep blocking scammers and marketers on my phone.
Called me did not recognize the number, nor area code, therefore did not answer. I see they say there with Microsoft, just another scam to get into your computer or phone access....DO NOT ANSWER CALLS YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE NUMBER...usually a scam. How they get all these phones numbers, I use verizon, they must give out lists with numbers, should be law against giving out info...
called at 11am Mountain time. Caller ID showed CT, 203-169-5185. I have answered, but nobody responded on the other end. I hang up, came across this site to learn about he scam, so I blocked them on my iPhone. Easy! If you have time, the alternative is to engage in a conversation, be interested, but them on hold to say... "get to my desk", "boot the machine"... If they are patient, you can continue your work and have them wait for you, haha.
Follow up. This site: http://mrnumber.com/1-203-169-5185 , shows that the number is spoofed, which means the scammers can morph into any other (spoofed/invalid) number.
