Someone called me and when I called back, the guy asked me my name. He said an IRS case is pending against me and asked my name again to find the file. I said, well, if you know of a pending case against me and know my phone number, you tell me my name. The guy projected himself as an IRS Officer at the HQ, named Adam Smith. The accent was very un-American and I doubt that he even called from the US or from outside. He said, without my name he can't help me and he is there to help me. He then threatened me that an arrest warrant will be issued within 24 hours.
Obviously, all my IRS dues are paid and I'm in a relatively low-middle wage level and everything is clean. So, this guy was bluffing to get name and subsequently other sensitive information. Projecting fraudulently as a governmental official is a crime and I'd like to draw the attention of others who were targeted as victims.

Robocall (in a robotic, totally unnatural voice, unlike anything a real company would use nowadays) claiming a suit is pending against me.
This is a scam call center operating offshore. Their calls are in violation of the TCPA and illegal. They are attempting to scare callers into making a payment to them on behalf of the IRS. The agent threatened me with an arrest warrant, issued in the next 45 minutes, if I didn't yield to their demands. If they call you just ignore them.
These idiots called me twice, so I answered and it was a robocall claiming to be from the IRS, stating they need to urgently speak to me and to please contact them at the number listed. I am sick and tired of these leeches calling people's cell phones all hours of the day, to scam hard working people. I am up to date on all required bills and I am not in trouble with the IRS, so I wish these people would never call my number again.
Will not answer if they call again, and Advise anyone reading my post to not answer a call from these scammers.
