So far today I've received four robo calls from this number telling me that the IRS is "filing lawsuit" against me. Even the recording has bad grammar. Fortunately I know that if the IRS is contacting you about something this serious, they will do it through the mail, not on the phone. I guess they've given up trying the "Windows computer virus" ruse on me for now. I'm tempted to call the number just to screw with them.
Same here. Got that robotic voice to call 203-204-6171. The caller ID was blank though. I googled the number before I called and this is the thread I found - so THANK YOU GUYS!!! Robotic voice definitely said stuff like this: IRS is attempting to collect the over due amount, this is your final warning, there will be an issue for your arrest by tomorrow evening... you get the point. TOTAL SCAM.
Received same call. Had my number and zip code. Difficult to understand. Have number and names and even badge numbers which I know are bogus. Reporting to police and notifying IRS...
