Recorded message from Ashley Coleman representing Comcast. Said matter was important but did not give any details. Callback number left was (866)500-2439, caller ID was EAS (203)270-2439. I guess this really is Comcast and not some telemarketer.
My account was paid 11 days earlier and they claimed no payment was received. Comcast verified that the payment was received. They work with very old data and refuse to verify it (I believe this is against the law).
The reason I paid the bill 6 days late was Comcast has been putting bogus charges on my account and I need to verify everything. I had auto-pay and they would email me a bill with the correct amount and then deduct a higher amount from my credit card account. Example: charges for service calls that should not be charged and for on-demand movie I never watched.
what you dont know is if you pay your comcast account online after your service has ended you're payment is not applied to your account therefore making your account unpaid and it does go to collections
