At least I am not the only one. I do not have a credit card from Chase, but had one from WaMu three years ago. I no longer have it, but some one had gotten my name and phone number and opened a card. I have called and gone to the Chase bank and have cleared things with me, but have this phone call of whom they say that they are from Chase and want more info from me.
Got a call today, automated, about a credit card being locked and to call their security dept. Think it said Washington Mutual....difficult to understand.....obviously a scam!!
I also just got a call to my cell. I didn't answer and they did not leave a message. I stored the number as :Scam Caller." I no longer answer any call from a number not in my address book.
I received a phone call at 10:30 last night saying that my HSBC card has been locked. I don't have an HSBC card!! I hung up right away because it is some sought of scam.. When I called the number back a recording said the number is not in service.
I just got as call from Gisella Kurz (203) 322-9876 telling me that "unfortunately my debit card had been lost" and to press 1. I have NO debit card. Can you say scam?
