Guy with thick Indian accent, Anglo name (Marcus Swift) called from (203) 340-6932 and passes himself off as an IRS agent. Long story short, the tactic is to "Schock and Awe" then threats - you may ask why - apparently for a list of violations such as "tax evasion", "misinformation", "etc" - I didn't get to the bottom of what he was after as he spent much of his time on the phone trying to intimidate me. May be he's new at this sort of scam :-)
got call from marcus swift from IRS same stuff..... tax evasion, blah, blah..... said he'd send police to pick me up in 45 minutes. !!
sounded american accent, not indian..... what some people do to make a living!!!
now these guys shold spend a little more time developing a a better script. when I asked about what specific tax year he was refering, he couldnt answer, he just said " many years"!!
This is not the first time I received the IRS scam calls. A lady with Indian accent just say there is a charge against me..Hahaha.... So I just ask her how can she identify herself to be an IRS agent? I asked her full name and agent number, she can't even answer.
Just got a call from 2033406932. She asked for my full name, after hearing the accent, I told her she had the wrong number. She had the nerve to ask me if I was sure. If I tell you you have the wrong number, don't question it!
Then I got online, googled the number and found all these comments. Glad I did what I did. Number. Blocked!
I just received a call from 203-340-6932, it's a not native american speaker told me I am under warrant by the IRS. Her name is Shelly Johnson, office Id: 640053, the case ref# IR16855. She said I owed IRS money and something, I am currently not owed any tax. She try ask me more info, be careful it's scam.
This annoying lady, with a thick Indian accent, has been calling me from this number saying i will get arrested for false tax information. The sounds around her are extremely loud and her accent doesn't help understand. I looked forward into it and am contacting 18003364484 to report this nonsense.
