Guy with thick Indian accent, Anglo name (Marcus Swift) called from (203) 340-6932 and passes himself off as an IRS agent. Long story short, the tactic is to "Schock and Awe" then threats - you may ask why - apparently for a list of violations such as "tax evasion", "misinformation", "etc" - I didn't get to the bottom of what he was after as he spent much of his time on the phone trying to intimidate me. May be he's new at this sort of scam :-)

Becaus IRS will never do whatever they saying !!
The scammer calls herself Melissa Brown and claims that she is calling from the investigations Department of IRS. Also said that there's a warrant under my name under federal investigation and if I don't call them back they'll send the local police to my physical address to arrest me.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Somebody just called me from the same number. They called 8 times in 30 minutes, but I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. They left me a threatening message that a legal action is taken against me and that I must return their call immediately. It was a guy with a very thick accent. Thank you for your post, now I know not to answer if they call again.
