A Darien person was contacted on Wednesday by a person claiming to be from Alabama and who claimed to be soliciting donations for fallen police officers. When the woman questioned the authenticity of the man’s purported organization, he hung up, police said.
The number, 203-347-3092, came out of Middletown, Conn., and is FREQUENTLY ASSOCIATES WITH POLICE SCAMS, police said.
Got a call from 2033473092. I could barely hear the call. They asked to speak to someone, which could barely be understood. It was also a recording of the name they were looking for. Don't answer if you get a call from this number.
Picked up the call and all I heard was some idiot keyboarding for about 30 seconds. Finally when he was finished surfing the web or whatever he was doing, the guy said he was calling from the National Police. Oh, we have National Police now? It's a scam.
I got a call from 203-347-3092 this afternoon around 3:25 on 6-16-14, the called ID says unknown and when I answered, no one spoke, but I could hear a keyboard being used in the background. I said hello 3 times with a raised voice progression each time, then I just hung up. This [***] whoever it is has nothing better to do than call and bother people. This is a Connecticut telephone number. I hope the jerk caller, reads this so she/he realizes how much people hate their guts.
This number came up on Mom's caller ID six times one day. She didn't answer, and they left no message. We live in CT, but that number is unknown. I just blocked it.
