Just called me right now in the middle of the night with the same creepy silence and "goodbye" ... thought a serial killer was going to come for me next
they called at 5am yesterday morning, and now at 2:30 am, saying they were from Microsoft and they were calling to warn me someone unknown to me has hacked into my computer and installing bad programs, and they needed to access my PC to fix it. I had to laugh, and told him, what a joke, Microsoft wont call anyone, and wont do anything for free...ever!!! and I hung up! You could tell this person had a middle eastern accent.
I got the same. Except the person with the accent gave me an old address of mine and my ex's name. I told them I didn't know who that person was. They said ok goodbye!!!!
Called claiming to represent Microsoft. Told me that "unknown people were accessing my computer. Wanted me to open my computer to a certain file. Asked them three times to take me off their call list. Two people, both with strong Indian accents told me I didn't understand them. They were right about that. I hung up.
