Yep, got a call also. I didn't answer, but when I called back it had a weird ring to it. Noone answered. Intelius reverse lookup says it's a residential number. So, the question IS: HOW DO YOU PROSECUTE WHEN YOU'RE ON THE THE DNC LIST??
received a funny sound on phone at 12:12 pm phone did not actually ring and I had trouble getting it to quit. phone number on caller id was above...looked up on google and found this report.

Answered - rustling in background, hung up immediately as I didn't recognize the number and did recognize the scenario. I'm in NC as well.
I wouldn't get all in a lather about DNC violations - I sincerely doubt this is a legitmate company but a scam to begin with, dialing random numbers with their free phone scam and probably getting ID theft info from the occasional idiot who answers. They don't care about DNC as they are just downright criminals and perhaps aren't even in this country but somehow relaying from the Connecticut number, given the odd rings, etc., mentioned earlier.
