I keep getting calls saying I am approved for a grant I applied for . Whick I have not applied for any Grants. from 206-000-111 and 206-681-9680 and 347-580-9848 and 856-477-4784 and 202-810-9314 and 214-400-5051 and about 10 more. How do I stop them from calling me?
Yesterday I got a call from 002060001111 and I did not answer. Today I got the same call and I thought I would answer to find out who it was. I was some woman from India that stated that I have been selected for a US Government tax free Grant of $9000. I could tell that this was a scripted scam call. She kept asking me to confirm the things that she was saying. So I let her on. She then gave me a special code and telephone number 206 209 1570 to call immediately to claim my grant. This had scam written all over it. Also this sounded like the scams that want you to claim money but you will need to give all sorts of personal information that could be used for identity theft. Then, you need to send them money to handle the transfer.
This is a scam. I receive calls from this number or sometimes a restricted number and it's always the same: "The federal government would like to give you grant money that you will never have to pay back." They try to get your bank account number and it's ridiculous. They won't take me off their call list. It sounds like a huge call center and the people on the other end sound Indian.
I have gotten calls from 206-000-1111, again and again, I answer for silence on other end, so I looked up number. No such number.Will be blocking call and thanks to all of you that posted online about this number also.
