Left message that I need to "call back immediately about this case." I received the call on my work phone, which could possibly be about a case I am handling, BUT....they did not leave a company name or number, and anyone callling me about one of my cases would definitely leave that info. Nevertheless, I tried to call back and got a busy signal. Got the call again and it said I owed money to the IRS (certainly not true) and need to call to give them credit card info. Uh......SCAM.
My dad received a call from this number more than once in the past few weeks. I called back and they were very arrogant. Saying I took out an $8000 loan and that I needed to pay him back because he didn't have any more money. He than proceeded to say that he "[***] me in the [***]". He had a thick accent. Like from India or somewhere near the Middle East. Scam. DO NOT CALL BACK.
I received a call from an "India" speaking woman who claimed that I was selected to receive a free $ 15,000 for being a wonderful citizen. First, she confirmed my address, then may name, age, and then proceeded to ask to wire the money into my bank account. I suggested that she mail me the check. The she provided an approval code KL001 and this phone number (206-201-2138) and requested that I call it after hanging up with her and provide the phone number with my approval code to get the free $ 15,000. She also kept telling me the $ 15,000 will never have to be paid back ....
I then called the number and the person answered "US Goverment Grant Office." I gave him my approval code and am awaiting for my mysterious free check.
If you get a call from this person please post.....Thank God I Did Not Provide My Account No.
