Same as above, I did not answer the phone, and the message said that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me, and to call this number for further details.
This appears to be a scam posing as the IRS. It's an automated system with a recorded message that states that "this is the last collection attempt" and "the IRS is filing lawsuit (SIC) against you." This is definitely a scam, and a particularly bad one, perhaps foreign in origin and being routed through this Seattle phone number. I rejected initial call, but the system leaves partial messages in my voicemail and has continued to call.
Have received the "IRS is filing a lawsuit against you" message twice this a.m. When I tried calling back just to see who is perpetrating this scam, all I get is a busy signal.
Just got a call from above number stating that the IRS is suing me. The terrible part is that they must get in touch with enough folks who fall for this it is worth their time to keep doing it. They belong on a CIA hit list..
